At Roommates Store, we design our kids’ furniture and decor with love and care, just like we handle your shopping experience. If you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase, our hassle-free returns policy makes it easy to exchange or return items within 15 days of delivery.

Important Note: For safety and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns on the following items:

  • Kids’ Decorative Pillows (opened packaging)
  • Kids’ Curtains & Shades (custom-cut items)
  • Opened Kids’ Piggy Banks

All returned items must be in original condition with tags attached and packaging intact.

How to Initiate a Return or Exchange

Step 1: Submit Your Request

Within 15 days of receiving your order, please email our customer care team at [email protected] with the following information (or use our template below):

Subject: Return/Exchange Request – Order #[Your Order Number] Dear Roommates Store Team, I would like to request a [return/exchange] for my recent order (#[Your Order Number]). Details: – Product Name: – Reason for Return/Exchange: – Preferred Resolution: [Refund/Exchange for (specific product)] Please advise on next steps. Best regards, [Your Full Name] [Your Contact Information]

Step 2: Receive Return Authorization

Within 1-2 business days, our customer care elves will email you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and shipping instructions. Please do not send items back without this authorization.

Step 3: Package and Ship Your Return

Securely package the item(s) in their original packaging, include all accessories and documentation, and affix the provided return label. For exchanges, please indicate your new product preference clearly.

Step 4: Track Your Return

Once we receive your return at our Nashville facility, we’ll process it within 3-5 business days. You’ll receive email notifications at each step.

Refunds will be issued to your original payment method:

  • Credit/debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, JCB): 5-10 business days after processing
  • PayPal: 3-5 business days after processing

Shipping Costs

The original shipping fee ($12.95 for standard shipping) is non-refundable. For free shipping orders over $50, a $12.95 deduction will apply to your refund to cover return shipping costs.

Exchange Process

For exchanges:

  1. We’ll ship your replacement item once we receive your return
  2. If the new item costs more, you’ll be invoiced for the difference
  3. If the new item costs less, you’ll receive a refund for the difference

Special Note for International Returns

Customers outside the U.S. are responsible for return shipping costs and any applicable customs fees. We recommend using a trackable shipping method and keeping your receipt until the return is complete.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your kids’ furniture or decor arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us immediately at [email protected] with photos of the issue. We’ll arrange a free replacement or return at no cost to you.
